Mascarell, a small historic settlement belonging to Nules in the province of Castellón, will once again become a spectacular medieval setting from 6 to 8 November 2026, when its traditional Medieval Fair returns with a wide range of shows, activities and gastronomic attractions.

Surrounded by orange groves and enclosed by impressive 16th-century walls, Mascarell provides a unique backdrop for an event that recreates the atmosphere of the Middle Ages throughout its streets.

Visitors will be able to enjoy knightly tournaments, royal stables, a soldiers' camp and several historical reenactments designed to bring medieval life back to the town. The programme also traditionally includes exhibitions, activities for children, minstrels and jesters, live music and falconry displays.

Over the years, the Mascarell Medieval Fair has become an increasingly popular attraction, combining entertainment with the extraordinary historical setting of the town. Mascarell is particularly remarkable because it is the only fully walled inhabited settlement in the Valencian Community.

The surrounding landscape of orange groves adds to the appeal of a weekend that attracts visitors interested in history, culture, family activities and local products.

The event is officially recognised as being of Regional Tourist Interest, highlighting its importance within the Valencian Community's cultural and tourism calendar.

The 2026 edition will take place from Friday 6 November to Sunday 8 November. Visitors are advised to check the official information beforehand for confirmed schedules, activities and any possible changes to the programme.
